Not a call centre. The person who quotes your job is the person accountable for it, from the first phone call to the follow-up afterwards. Fifteen years in the trade, working across Pretoria and the rest of Gauteng.
Backup water systems
Storage tanks, pressure pumps, filtration and automatic changeover, so an outage is something you read about rather than live through.
Municipal water feeds the house through the tank, which keeps the stored water turning over instead of standing still. A booster pump gives you normal pressure at every tap and appliance. Filtration runs from sediment and carbon block through to reverse osmosis and limescale removal, and we can test your water in a laboratory first so the filtration suits what is actually in it.
A manual changeover means you can go back to municipal supply if the power fails, and solar-compatible VSD pumps are available where an interruption is not an option.
Clearing blockages, and laying new drain runs properly so they stay clear.
Most blocked drains are a symptom rather than the problem. Roots, a collapsed section, or a line that was never laid to a consistent fall will block again a few months after it is cleared, so we find out which it is before quoting a repair.
New drain runs are laid to a consistent fall on a bedding of sand, checked on a string line. It is the part nobody inspects and it is the reason a line is still running clear in five years.
Burst pipes & leak detection
Burst pipes, hidden leaks, and replacing failing galvanised pipework.
A water bill that has climbed for no reason, a damp patch on a wall, or a meter that turns with every tap closed usually means a leak you cannot see. We trace it rather than opening up walls and floors speculatively.
A great many houses in the older Pretoria suburbs still run on galvanised pipe that is rusting from the inside. If yours is at that stage, patching one burst usually buys a few months. We will tell you honestly when replacement is the cheaper answer.
Geysers
Repairs, replacements, elements, thermostats and compliant installation.
Elements, thermostats, leaking geysers and full replacements, electric or heat pump. We fit the drip tray, the safety valve and the overflow properly and route the overflow where it discharges somewhere visible — if a geyser ever does let go, you want to see it outside rather than find it through the ceiling.
One thing worth knowing: we are not PIRB-registered and cannot issue a Certificate of Compliance. If your insurer requires one, we will tell you that when you call rather than halfway through the job.
Solar water heating
Direct and indirect systems, pumped or thermosiphon, evacuated tube or flat plate.
We install and service solar water heating across the range — direct and indirect systems, pumped or thermosiphon circulation, with evacuated tube or flat plate collectors. Which suits you depends on your water, your roof and how much hot water the household actually uses.
Worth knowing: the old Eskom rebate on solar water heaters was discontinued years ago, so anyone still advertising one is out of date. The case for solar now rests on what it saves off your electricity bill, which we will work through with you honestly rather than quoting a payback period off a brochure.
Maintenance & construction
Bathroom renovations, new builds, and ongoing maintenance for landlords and complexes.
Full plumbing for bathroom and kitchen renovations, first and second fix on new builds, and the kind of standing maintenance arrangement that complexes, landlords and managing agents need.
For rental property we can work directly with a tenant on the day and report back to you, which saves a great deal of back and forth.
